Natural food company Chickapea announces the launch of +Greens, a new line of organic pasta that would offer 24 g of vegetable protein per serving. Already available in penne, spaghetti and spirals, the new “vegetarian” and gluten-free offering is made with only chickpeas, lentils, kale and spinach, according to Chickapea. Each serving of +Greens would provide 11 g of fiber and more than two servings of vegetables. Additionally, Chickapea says the new offering is a source of iron, as are vitamins K and B6. Since February, the Chickapea +Greens line is available in the United States, including Mom’s Organic Markets and many independent grocery stores. The products will also be available for purchase online, on Amazon and on the brand’s website.
