Survey on the typical organic pasta consumer
Marche Polytechnic University has carried out a study on the habits of organic pasta buyers to help companies in this industry to be more competitive. The research, conducted on a high profiled sample of organic-oriented consumers from all Italian regions, aged between 16 and 66, shows that buyers pay attention to the origin of raw materials; they want wheat to be Italian and pasta to be produced locally. They also look for recyclable and eco-friendly packaging with clear labels. As the organic market is full of opportunities nowadays, the Consortium is providing additional tools through this survey in order to help companies reach the consumer in the most effective way.
